Chase Balance Transfer Offers
Chase is one of the more competitive credit card issuers when it comes to credit card balance transfer offers.
The bank offers a number of 0% balance transfer credit cards, with 0% APR for as long as 18 months in some cases.
| Chase Balance Transfer Offers:
*** Chase Slate – 0% APR for 15 months on balance transfers (and purchases), NO balance transfer fee! *** Chase Freedom® Visa – $100 Bonus Cash Back – 0% APR for 12 months on balance transfers, 3% balance transfer fee |
However, the company recently removed the balance transfer fee cap, and charges as much as 5% in balance transfer fees, making it a relatively expensive option for cardholders in some cases.
To my knowledge, the company has never offered a no fee balance transfer, though you may still be able to get the balance transfer fee waived.
Also, the second balance transfer offer in the box above comes with $100 cash back as long as you make $500 in qualifying transactions during the first 3 months from account opening.
The best part is balance transfers ARE included in that definition, so you could effectively end up with a no fee balance transfer from Chase by using that bonus to offset any fees.
For example, a 3% fee on $3,000 transferred is only $90, so you’d end up $10 ahead with the bonus.
The good news is that most of their balance transfer offers come with no annual fee on cash back rewards credit cards.
If you are a current Chase credit card member, you can also log-in to your account and look at balance transfer offers for existing customers.
They typically always list the current offers available to you, though there may not be any at any given time.
Chase also offers balance transfer checks, which allow you to balance transfer into your checking account, effectively turning the transfer into cash without a cash advance fee.
These offers will typically be mailed to you as well, just be sure to double-check the terms to ensure you don’t get charged any exorbitant fees.
If none of these interest you, you may also want to consider American Express balance transfer offers, Bank of America balance transfer offers, Capital One balance transfer offers, Citi balance transfer offers, Discover balance transfer offers and HSBC balance transfer offers.
